  1. Afternoon Arts Classes for Kids at Arts West

    Monday through Thursday Arts Classes. Starting August 26, in 8 week sessions, students in grades K-5 will experience arts instruction in a variety of disciplines. Students can be registered for one or more classes(days) per week. Schedule: Mondays: Theater Class with Janai Travis; Tuesdays: Visual Art 3-D Class with April Felipe; Wednesdays: Music Class with Lawrence Greene; Thursdays: Visual Art 2-D Class with April Felipe. ABOUT THE SPEAKER: KEITH PHETLHE is a Ph.D Candidate in the African Literature and Film Studies at Ohio University, School of Interdisciplinary Arts. He is a poet, politician,  literary critic & translator, academic and educator from Botswana. His recent publication is The Abomination, a postcolonial Setswana novel. He is founder of Poetry Society-UB and has performed in many international platforms. He is the editor of an upcoming multilingual poetry anthology Harvested Requiems. His poems have been translated into Spanish and published in prominent media outlets. He is a visiting Research Fellow at the University of the Freestate in Bloemfontein South A
