Movement with Jamie Betit

Play is essential for children! For the better part of two decades, I have worked with children using play as a therapeutic and creative outlet for personal development. My name is Jamie Betit (aka Mr. Jamie to the multitude of children I have worked with in the area) and I am excited to be working with your children in this year’s Arts West Summer Program. I moved to Athens
13 years ago and in that time I have been a camp facilitator at Rising Appalachian Warriors (RAW Camp) Dairy Barn Summer arts program, BOOST Camp at Ohio University and a summer rec program that I initiated with Little Cities Black Diamonds in Perry County. My philosophy is children learn and grow through the process of creative play and movement and I look forward to helping your children grow and learn, and most importantly have fun through the power of play.
