I.Prior Minutes for November 8, 2010:
Motion to approve: Moseley Second: Paszke Vote: 3/0 to approve
II.Old Business:
A.Rates schedules/structures: Motion by Mayer, second by Paszke to accept rate structure, subject to 30-day public review period. Rate scheduled based on $6.00 for inside zone pickup with an additional $2.00 per zone to which the passenger is taken or reasonably passes through. Five (5) zones created. Comment was that travel outside the city while going within a zone or from one zone to another would be considered the same as traveling within the adjacent zone. Passed 3/0
Mayer to draft a release for submission to the Mayor for inclusion in a city web site publication.
B.Question raised about the charging of tax on fares: Paszke reported that taxicabs may charge sales tax on fares over and above the set fare rate. He is contacting the county auditor to determine whether it is optional or mandatory.
III.New Business:
A.Captain Tom Pyle will be taking over as secretary of the Taxicab Board upon his promotion to Chief of Police. noted
B.Change requirement for renewal of taxicab operator/driver’s license to certified 3-year abstract of driver record. Full record still required for new permits. Motion by Mayer, second by Moseley to accept change. Passed 3/0.

I. Prior Minutes for May 3, 2010:
Motion to approve: Moseley
Second: Paszke
Vote: 3/0 to approve
II. Old Business:
A. Rates schedules/structures: Tabled from February and May.
Zones were roughed out and Ron Lucas will be doing a draft map. There will probably be 5 zones with fees being charged from the pick-up point to the drop-off point. A base rate would apply for pick-up and drop-off within a specific zone and an added fee for each additional zone to which the passenger may be taken or reasonably pass through. Rate discussed was $6.00 with added zones at $2.00.
B. Reminder for all Taxicab companies to get their operators to apply for renewals beginning November 15, 2010 to help avoid having the license expire at midnight on December 31, 2010 and not being able to handle January 1st passengers. With the holiday days in December, ten (10) business days will be the minimum for getting renewals processed.
III. New Business:
A. Question raised about the charging of tax on fares. John Paszke will check with the County Auditor and, as needed, with the City Law Director.

A special meeting on rates may be held in January.
